TONY STEWART AND DAYTONA 500 WINNER TREVOR BAYNE APPEARING AT MACON SPEEDWAY JUNE 28!
(Macon, IL) On June 28 get ready to welcome Nascar 2011 Daytona 500 winner; Trevor Bayne for the first time ever. Also joining Trevor will be NASCAR stars and track owners Tony Stewart, Ken Schrader and Kenny Wallace! Macon Speedway will kick off the Night of NASCAR Stars by hosting an autograph session featuring the NASCAR stars, so come out to the track early to get your chance to meet Trevor, Tony, Kenny and Ken. Racing the night of stars will be the Chevrolet Late Models, Billingsley Towing Modified, Street Stocks, Amateur and High School Hornets. The gates will open at 3:00; The NASCAR stars will be signing autographs from 5:00 to 6:00 so come out early to get your autographs.
Trevor was born on February 19, 1991 and the place he calls home is Knoxville, TN. Trevor currently resides in Mooresville, NC. It’s hard to imagine a young driver with more championships (22) than his age but Trevor has just that. To add to his list of accomplishments, he is your newest, and record breaking youngest, Daytona 500 Champion. Since Trevor Bayne turned five years old, he has been wheeling anything he gets his hands on and making people take note of a natural talent, well beyond his years.
Trevor got his first big break in 2008 when Dale Earnhardt Inc. signed the youngster to its driver development program in 2008. That year he began competing in the NASCAR Camping World East where he grabbed his first NASCAR Series win. Trevor made his NASCAR Nationwide Series debut March 21st at Bristol Motor Speedway where he finished 23rd. Bayne later ran a part time schedule for Michael Waltrip in the NO 99 Toyota Camry. Trevor grabbed the outside pole at Nashville Speedway and went on to earn two top 10’s and finishing inside the top 15 seven times in 15 races.
Bayne started the first 28 races of 2010 for Michael Waltrip Racing. During the second half of the tenure, he drove to three poles, five top fives and nine top 10 finishes in 14 starts before making the move to Roush Fenway. He joined Roush Fenway Racing in October of 2010 where he completed the balance of the Nationwide Series races in a Roush Fenway Ford. In 2011, Trevor is making a run at the Nationwide Series Championship while also running a limited schedule in the NO 21 Wood Brothers Racing Ford. His 2011 Daytona 500 win definitely set this year off to a memorable start.
