Springfield RacewaySpringfield, Mo- The Springfield Raceway will open the action-packed 2013 season on Saturday April 20th with the only scheduled appearance of the Lucas Oil ASCS 360 Winged Sprint Cars as the Sooner and Warrior Regions do battle on the “Quick-Quarter” in the Don Haase Memorial presented by Budweiser and the Will Fischer Distributing Company in Springfield

This will be the 2nd scheduled race for both the Regional Series as action will also feature the USRA Modifieds, USRA B Modifieds, Midwest Modz and Legends. Street Stocks and Pure Stocks will begin their season the following week, but are invited to come and practice during hotlaps and 1 other session.

This opening race will also honor former Speedway official Don Haase. Don was techman when Jerry Hoffman and Doug Bland bought the track and was set to become the flagman before the 2008 season when a sudden illness overcame him and he passed away before the 208 season began.

In the ASCS Sprint Car Challenge, the Sooner Region has been strong ,but last season Warrior kingpin Jonathan Cornell bested the 27 plus car entries in grabbing the win in October.

Pit gates will open at 2PM while hotlaps begin around 5:45 and racing is slated to start at 6:30PM. Local division drivers meeting will be around 5:30 and drivers draws closes at 6PM.

Grandstand gates open at 4:30 and Adult Admission is only $20 while kids prices are only $5 for kids 6-12 and under 6 is Free. USRA National points will be awarded for this event. USRA Temp License can be purchased at the track and Raceceivers are required.
