(Macon, IL) Macon Speedway will be hosting our military this Saturday, June 1 with Armed Forces Night sponsored by Dynagraphics/Fast Impressions. Any military with an ID will get in half price, or FREE if in uniform. Dale’s Southlake Pharmacy will also be at Macon Speedway helping raise awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project. Sundrop will be giving out a FREE 12 oz. bottle of Sundrop to everyone in attendance.
Divisions racing that night will be Billingsley Towing UMP Modifieds, UMP Street Stocks, UMP Sportsman, UMP 4-cyl. Outlaw Hornets, Stock Hornets and Micro Mini Sprints. Danny Smith is in front in the Billingsley Towing UMP Modifieds; Gene Reed is leading the UMP Street Stocks; Nick Macklin is in front for UMP Sportsman; Jeremy Reed is leading the UMP 4-cyl. Outlaw Hornets and Kyle Maxwell is in front in the Stock Hornets. Aaron Andruskevitch of Riverton rounds out the leaders in the Micro Mini Sprints.
Gates will open at 5 pm with racing beginning at 7 pm.
Macon Speedway’s summer action begins to heat up on the track on June 7 at Lincoln Speedway and June 8 when the first Annual POWRi Open-Wheel Midget Week comes to Macon Speedway and June 13 when 3-time NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart will be the Grand Marshall for the second Night of NASCAR Stars and the Midwest Big Ten UMP Late Model Series returns. June 15 will be the Mueller Distributing Miller Lite Twin 50’s and June will round out with the 95Q Firecracker 40’s on the 29th!
