Three-Race LOLMDS Weekend Awaits Paylor Motorsports

LINCOLNTON, N.C. (07/09/24) – Carson Ferguson notched his biggest win thus far of the 2024 season on Sunday night with a $10,000 triumph in the 4B4EVER 40 at Brushcreek Motorsports Complex with his Hoopaugh Grading Company / Paylor Motorsports No. 93 Franklin Enterprises / WP Racing Shocks / Coltman Farms Racing / Longhorn Chassis by Wesley Page / Cornett Lightning Engine Super Late Model.

“God, these things are so hard to win,” Ferguson said in Victory Lane. “Drake (Troutman) had the car to beat before he started having some type of mechanical issues. I don’t know what happened (and) I really hate that for him. He was the class of the field. Luckily things went our way tonight. This memorial race for Mr. (Jackie) Boggs, I never got to meet him, didn’t have the pleasure to do that, but he’s one that I always watched on videos growing up and he was a wheelman. I gotta thank everybody for putting this race on.”

Losing Friday’s event at Portsmouth (Ohio) Raceway Park, Carson Ferguson joined the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Saturday afternoon at Muskingum County Speedway (Dresden, Ohio) for the Freedom 60.

Stopping the clock fifth quickest in his qualifying group, Ferguson earned a spot in the 60-lap feature after grabbing the final transfer spot in his heat race. For the $20,000-to-win main event, Carson ran as high as eighth but faded late to finish outside the Top-10 in the 13th position.

Catching an extra race in Ohio, the Paylor Motorsports team made a stop at Brushcreek Motorsports Complex (Peebles, Ohio) on Sunday afternoon for the 2024 edition of the 4B4EVER event.

Taking quicktime honors and winning his heat race, Ferguson started the 40-lap feature from the second row in the third position.

Inheriting the lead after race-leader Drake Troutman dropped out with mechanical issues, Carson led the final 21 laps to secure the $10,000 payday. He topped Josh Rice and Tyler Carpenter who joined him on the podium.

The victory was his third of the season.

Ferguson’s extended weekend of competition took him to Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway on Monday evening for a $20,000-to-win Castrol FloRacing Night in America event. With 22 entries in action Carson raced to an 11th-place finish.

He’s up to 10th in the latest miniseries standings.
