East Moline, IL (August 26th, 2012) – K&S Promotions and the Quad City Speedway were forced to postpone Season Championship and Kid’s Night to Sunday, September 2nd, after heavy rains fell Sunday.
Next Sunday’s racing program will be jammed pack from beginning to end. Things will kick-off with a Quad City Speedway Hall of Fame Reunion “Meet & Greet” from 3:30pm to 5:00pm. The racing portion will begin with make-up features in the Mod Lites and Aaron’s Affordable Towing 4-Cylinders. Then the regular racing program will start with the Orion Tire Repair IMCA Modifieds, Mod Lites, Extreme Auto Glass Street Stocks, Sexton Ford IMCA Late Models, and Aaron’s Affordable Towing 4-Cylinders. The Verplaetse Excavating UMP Modifieds will not be racing Sunday, September 2nd, their make-up feature will be Sunday, September 16th.
The points battle in the Orion Tire Repair IMCA Modifieds, Extreme Auto Glass Street Stocks, and Aaron’s Affordable Towing 4-Cylinders have come down to the wire with this Sunday being the last night for track points.
In the Orion Tire Repair IMCA Modifieds, Greg Durbin holds a slim five point lead over Doug Crampton. The top three in the Extreme Auto Glass Street Stocks are only separated by six points with Emily Gade holding a five point lead over Chuck Fox and a six point lead over Rick Schriner. The Dahl boys are on top of the Aaron’s Affordable Towing 4-Cylinders with Wade Dahl trailing Zach Dahl by nine points.
For Kid’s Night backpacks, bikes, checkered flags, and candy will be given away. There will also be nickel toss for the kids.
