Muskogee, OK (October 7, 2012) – Terry Phillips of Springfield, MO won the final night of Thunderfest at the historic Thunderbird Speedway Sunday Afternoon. Phillips won his heat race and started outside second row for the $5,000 to win feature.

Phillips took control of the race from the start and led every lap of the 25 lap Thunderfest finale. The win, Phillips 5th of the season and his 81st career win with the MARS series. The race was co-sanctioned with the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series.

Newly crowned 2012 MARS series point champion Jesse Stovall of Republic, MO raced his way to second after starting ninth. Justin Wells of Aurora, MO; Tony Jackson Jr of Lebanon, MO and Justin Zeitner of LaVista, NE rounded out the top five.
