Lucas Oil Late Model SeriesBy Ben Shelton – Salt Rock, West Virginia (01/24/13) – Eddie Carrier Jr. is preparing his #28 Grover Motorsports/Engines Inc./Rocket/Grover Racing Engine Super Late Model for the team’s 2013 season opener, which will be held during the annual Winter Nationals at East Bay Raceway (Gibsonton, Florida).

After having to sit out the 2012 Winter Nationals at East Bay Raceway Park due to surgery on his leg, Eddie is chomping at the bit to return to one of his favorite tracks in the country to open the 2013 campaign.

“East Bay just fits my driving style. It’s a hammer-down, up-on-the-wheel kind of place, and it’s a lot of fun to race there,” commented Carrier Jr. “I’m really excited to be heading back down there this year.”

Eddie will enter six races in six days at the 1/3 mile oval over the course of the February 11th-16th week. The events will be sanctioned once again by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS). The schedule includes the following dates:

February 11th: East Bay Raceway Park ($5,000-To-Win) – LOLMDS
February 12th: East Bay Raceway Park ($5,000-To-Win) – LOLMDS
February 13th: East Bay Raceway Park ($7,000-To-Win) – LOLMDS
February 14th: East Bay Raceway Park ($7,000-To-Win) – LOLMDS
February 15th: East Bay Raceway Park ($10,000-To-Win) – LOLMDS
February 16th: East Bay Raceway Park ($10,000-To-Win) – LOLMDS

Grover Motorsports has also announced that it’s making the move to Integra Shocks for the 2013 season.

“The guys at Ohlins have been great to me over the past several years, but we needed to change some things in our program, and Integra best fits our needs,” notes Carrier Jr.
