Springfield RacewaySpringfield,Mo.-SpringfieldRaceway Owners Jerry Hoffman and Doug Bland announced today that the SpringfieldRaceway has signed with the USRA to sanction the A-Mod events for the 2011 racing season.

The SpringfieldRaceway known as the Quick-Quarter is known for its 3 wide action in all classes of racing with the premier class being the A-Mods weekly.

The Speedway sanctioned with the USRA in 2009,but decided to go independent in 2010.

Co-Owner and well-known modified builder Jerry Hoffman was excited about the sanction for the upcoming racing season.

“With the work Todd Staley and crew have done and the weekly points fund available for the drivers, its a win-win situation for all.Monett Speeedway(Sunday nights) and SpringfieldRaceway(Saturday nights) share alot of the same drivers and this makes it even more exciting with a chance for each track champion to win $1500 and compete in the RHS(Racing Head Service) National Championship chase worth $10,000.We like the way Todd and crew have the format set-up as car count, starting position and finishes help to determine the National Champion as they take a drivers best finishes.”

Last season Minnesota driver Jason Cummings won the National title in a season long battle while MonettSpeedway track Champion Johnny Bone Jr finished 4th in the National Chase. To be eligible for the awards and points fund a driver must have a USRA License.

The SpringfieldRaceway will start the 2011 season on Sat night April 16th with action in the RHS A-Mods,Reliable Chevrolet SportMods,Wheeler Metals StreetStocks,LegendCars,Midwest Modz and PureStocks.

The Track runs weekly through with the track points ending on Sept 3rd.Special events are run after the track points end and throughout the season including MARS/MLRA Latemodels,ASCS Regional SprintCars and Power I Midgets.

In 2010 Mitch Keeter of Webb City claimed the track championship over 2009 USRA RHS track champion Jackie Dalton of Carthage as the battle went down to the last night both years.
