MARS DIRTcar SeriesPark City, KS (May 7, 2011) – Jesse Stovall of Galena, MO raced his way into victory lane Saturday night in front of a packed house at 81 Speedway in an event co-sanctioned with the NCRA DIRTcar Series.

Stovall started ninth in the 30 lap feature and methodically worked his way to the front in what can only be described as one of the wildest, craziest races ever witnessed at 81 Speedway.  Tommy Weder Jr., of Woodward, OK would lead the first part of the race with current MARS point leader Brad Looney of Republic, MO running second and 6-time and defending MARS Champion Terry Phillips of Springfield, MO in third.  A long green flag run allowed the leaders to catch the back of the field.  Weder had enjoyed a 5 car length lead over Looney, but struggled with lap traffic and that allowed Looney and Phillips to catch up.  Looney would take the lead briefly before Weder would regain it the next lap. Still racing for position, Looney would get into Weder and that allowed Phillips to go underneath to the lead.  Then what seemed like a sure deal for Phillips, out of now where comes Stovall.  Phillips was running the top side of the track and left the door open for Stovall who led the last three laps and picked up his second win of the 2011 season.
