Lebanon MidwayLebanon,Mo.-Despite close to 2 inches of rain that fell on the LebanonMidwaySpeedway Friday morning,The Friday Night action track was still able to hold its Central Bank Racing Series Action and action was a plenty as normal.Again last lap action was the norm as Sundance Keepper’s winning streak came to an end at 4 with lots of action.

The Central Bank FactoryStocks rolled out with 2 time winner James Flood and defending champion Tyson Troutman bringing the field to the green with Flood grabbing the opening lead with Troutman,Mark Simon and Donnie Miller following. With Flood setting a fast pace and Troutman battling Simon, all eyes were on point leader Sundance Keepper who was coming from the back of the field.By lap 5,Keepper had moved into the top 3 as he and Simon went wheel to wheel for second place.Flood had opened half a straightaway lead while Keepper moved into second on lap 8 and started to close the gap. While Keepper was looking for a caution,he got one but was the cause as Keepper cut a tire on lap 10.Flood was keeping the car straight all night long and on the restart, pulled away again from Simon while Keepper was coming through the pack.Flood would grab the checkered grabbing his third win of the season while Keepper charged back to second place with Simon,Troutman and Donnie Miller following.

The Aaron’s Modified feature again provided plent of fast racing action as Shawn Strong and Ryan Edde brought the field to the green with Strong taking the opening lead with Colt Cheevers,Edde, point leader Michael Stake and Kris Jackson battling.Caution waved on lap 2 as Edde slowed along with Tony Moore. On the restart,Strong was driving the car hard into the corners as Colt Cheevers was right on his bumper as Jackson,Stake and a fast moving Mickey Burrell going back and forth. With a fast track due to the heavy rain during the day,Strong was trying to man-handle the car as Cheevers make gaining each lap.On lap 6 the caution waved as Rob White, and Brian Myers slowed.Strong brought the field to the double-file restart with Cheevers glued to his quarter panel with Stake moving upstairs.Strong seemed as if he had slowed just a bit and the car became fast as he started to pull away from the pressure of Cheevers leaving the field behind.Cheevers and Stake wagged a great race for second with Cheevers holding off the point leader Stake’s challanges.Kris Jackson and Brian Webster completed the top 5.

The Energy Company PureStocks prived a family fued up front with point leader monk Barker jumping to the early lead over rookie Brandon Henderson.Kolt Barker would move into the runner-up spot on lap 2 followed closely by Sean Skaggs. As the feature stayed green,Kolt Barker closed-up on leader monk Barker while defending champion Kory Barker coming the the 9th starting spot. After a great side by side battle,Kolt took over the lead on lap 9 while Monk fell to second place while Kory was coming quickly.Caution waved on lap 13 as the field doubled up for the restart.Kolt was holding the groove as Kory moved along side to try and take the lead as Shorty Doublin and Matt Young were battling.Heading for the checkered flag,Kory moved outside of leader Kolt as the duo rubbed dorrs in turn 4 and both cars got sideways.Kory was able to get the wheels straight and snuck by Kolt for the win with Kolt Barker,Shorty Doublin,Matt Young and Brandon Henderson following.

The Transport Graphics StreetStocks were racing for extra money tonight with tough action all evening long.Fast qualifier and heat winner Brandon Waters brought the field to the green flag with Mark Simon on his outside while track point leader Joe Francis was starting in row 4 tonight.Simon who was going for his third win in a row jumped to the opening lead with Waters,Trevor Ellingson and Brandon Knudtson following.3 wide action was early for the lead as Rodney Yost moved to the front quickly.Caution flew on lap 4 as Knudtson slowed with a flat tire.Simon brought the group to the restart as Yost moved to the second place spot as Waters jumped the cushion loosing several spots.Simon powered away leaving the battle for second place as Yost,Waters,Francis,Ellingson and Knudtson. The wild part of the feature happen on lap 12 as Francis took a wild ride to the go-kart track, but kept going using the smaller oval to rejoin the field on the backstretch without ever loosing control. This was a bad break for the point leader as it was an unfair advantage and Francis was scored the last car on the lead lap despite crossing the line in second place.Simon took his 4th win of the season and thid in a row with Waters,Knudtson,Yost and Ellingson following.

A New winner in the Rocky Ridge Construction Midwest modz class saw Miami,Okla youngster Matthew Thulin start on the front row and hold off repeated chalanges from defending champion JC Newell to take his first ever win at midway in his first start.A scary part of the feature on the start saw Sam Petty go hard into the pit road entrance.Petty was able to keep control and drove the entire distance out in the pits and entered back in turn 3 while safety crews went to retrive him.Thulin took the lead again and never looked back early.Newell made several attempts to take the lead but to no avail tonight.A wild battle behind the lead duo saw last weeks winner Earl Muilenburg hold offBill Joiner,Rich Reynolds and Petty for the third place honors.

Action will pick-up next Friday night July 1st as the Speedway will host a special Fireworks show during intermission along with a special apperance by the Missouri Dirt LegendCars.Action will also feature the Aaron’s modifieds,Energy Company PureStocks,Transport Graphics StreetStocks and Rocky Ridge Construction Midwest Modz.
