MARS DIRTcar SeriesMonett, MO (July 17, 2011) – Justin Wells of Aurora, MO picked up his first feature win of the year on the 2011 MARS DIRTcar Series tour at Monett Speedway and earned $3,000 for his efforts Sunday night.  Wells, the 2010 Monett Speedway track champion, led all thirty laps and recorded his second career win with the series.

Wells withstood challenges from 6-time MARS champion Terry Phillips of Springfield, MO who finished fifth in the final rundown and current MARS point leader Brad Looney of Republic, MO, who started seventeenth and finished second.

Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame Inductee Ken Essary of Cape Fair, MO finished third and R.C. Whitwell of Tucson, AZ finished fourth.

Next up will be a $2,500 to win race Thursday August 4, 2011 at the Midway Speedway in Lebanon, MO.
