Motocross to kick-off the Illinois State Fair August 12 & 13

Illinois State FairSpringfield, IL – It’s that time of year again when friends and family flock to the Illinois Sate Fairgrounds in Springfield, IL looking to take in the areas best entertainment. With the sights, sounds and smells of the mid-way comes an added element of the two wheel variety. Track Enterprises is excited to announce The Lincoln Land Motocross.

Hundreds of riders are expected to turn out for this exciting event to test their skill on the challenging course. The event will feature several different age groups and skill levels for Pro and Amateur riders alike. Everything from “pee wee’s, ATV’s to 250cc motorcycles will compete throughout the weekend.  Back again this year don’t miss the exciting addition of the Monster Truck, this year’s Monster Truck will be Raminator.  Raminator will be on display and also put on an exhibition for fans of all ages to enjoy on Friday night of the Motocross event.  Raminator has been on a tear since the 2011 indoor monster truck racing season began in January, picking up wins and thrilling fans across the country.  Don’t miss your chance to see the spectacular display of horsepower.

Two big days of motocross excitement is set to kick-off Friday August 12th in the Arena section of the fair grounds. The two day schedule will start with the Pit gates opening at 3pm, practice at 4pm. The grandstand gates will open at 6pm and the high flying action starts at 7pm.

Adult advanced tickets can be purchased at the Illinois State Fair Grounds Ticket Office 217-782-1979 or at Track Enterprises 217-764-3200 for $10 or can be purchased at the gate the day of the event for $12.  Tickets for children (2-12) are $5.
