Aimee Loyet, SUNSET HILLS, Mo. (March 9, 2012) — Brad Loyet will tackle the 3/8 semi banked oval of Cocopah Speedway in Yuma, Az. March 9-10. This is Loyet’s first visit to the Cocopah Indiana tribe-owned dirt track. The Loyet Motorsports/Vacuworx International J&D Performance-powered Maxim is looking for its first National tour win.

Loyet’s 2012 season kicked off last week at Canyon Speedway Park in Peoria, Az. Starting the weekend off strong, Loyet finished in the fourth position on Friday night and locked himself into Saturday night’s A-main event. After leading 18 laps, Loyet abandoned his solid high-side line to protect the bottom from Jason Johnson. Loyet spun but kept his car under power, dropping back numerous positions. A 13th place finish was the result but Loyet was quite dejected. “I just messed up,” said Loyet, “but the season is early and I’ve got a good car.”

Coming into tonight’s contest, Loyet rides sixth in National ASCS points and is it highest contender vying for the 2012 Rookie of the Year title. Racing begins at 7PM and a live broadcast courtesy of RacinBoys will be available at www.RacinBoys.com.
