2013 ASCS Southwest Schedule Revealed

ASCS - American Sprint Car SeriesBryan Hulbert – Tulsa, Oklahoma (December 23, 2012) Coming off a year of unrest in Arizona for Winged Sprint Car racing, the 2013 season for the ASCS Southwest Region looks to be a sign of renewed vigor in the southwest deserts with a slate of 21 races at seven facilities in Arizona, New Mexico, and west Texas scheduled for the 2013 season.

The 2013 season will begin with the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV American Real National Tour at the high speed Tucson International Raceway in February 22nd and 23rd and will continue with the National Tour stars at Yuma, Arizona’s Cocopah Speedway in March 1st and 2nd. The Southwest Region will visit Tucson a total of 7 times in 2013 and Yuma 4 nights.

Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek, Arizona sees the series 4 times throughout the 2013 schedule with visits to Thunder Raceway in Show Low, Canyon Speedway Park in Peoria among stops in the Grand Canyon State. Season ending events with the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV American Real National Tour will include stops at the El Paso Speedway Park in El Paso, Texas as well as the Southern New Mexico Speedway in Las Cruces, New Mexico before returning to Arizona.

May 4th – Tucson Int. Raceway – Tucson, Arizona
May 25th – Thunder Raceway – Show Low, Arizona
June 1st – Tucson Int. Raceway – Tucson, Arizona
June 15th – Canyon Speedway Park – Peoria, Arizona
June 29th – Tucson Int. Raceway – Tucson, Arizona
July 6th – Arizona Speedway – Queen Creek, Arizona
August 17th – Canyon Speedway Park – Peoria, Arizona
September 28th – Tucson Int. Raceway – Tucson, Arizona
October 5th – Arizona Speedway – Queen Creek, Arizona
October 12th – Tucson Int. Raceway – Tucson, Arizona
*November 1st – El Paso Speedway Park – El Paso, Texas
*November 2nd – Southern NM Speedway – Las Cruces, New Mexico
*November 8th & 9th – Cocopah Speedway – Yuma, Arizona
November 23rd – Arizona Speedway – Queen Creek, Arizona

The 2013 season marks the 22nd year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing for the American Sprint Car Series, which brings the best of Sprint Car racing to dozens of different tracks throughout the nation and into Canada.
