St. Louis Region, April 16, 2014 – Think your Miley Cyrus ticket is worthless for tonight? Well, it’s not! Bring your Miley Cyrus ticket to Gateway Motorsports Park tonight and you’ll get into the park to enjoy Wide-Open Wednesday for free! The event features food and beverage specials.
Getting kids off the streets and on the track has been a top priority for the management team at Gateway Motorsports Park. Wide-Open Wednesdays provide car enthusiasts with the opportunity to test the limits of their cars on the safe confines of Gateway’s NHRA sanctioned drag strip.
Wide-Open Wednesdays are held on Wednesdays from April – October. Check the schedule for exceptions. Gates open for Wide-Open Wednesday at 4 p.m. with exclusive testing for cars equipped with racing tires from 5-7 p.m. Open racing takes place from 7 – 11 p.m. Each event features the Battle of the Bikes Showdown at 10 p.m. to recognize the fastest motorcycles in St. Louis. Entry fees are $30 to race and $10 admission for spectators. Restricted area crew passes are just $15. Children 10 and under are free.
Minors must present a signed parental consent form, which may be obtained by calling the track’s office at (618) 215-8888. All cars are required to pass a basic NHRA safety inspection (seat belts, battery mounts, properly-inflated tires, etc.).
