Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series Makes First-Ever Visit to Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway on Saturday April 18

American-Modified-SeriesGlasgow, KY-April 7, 2015- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series is set for the first of three events in the month of April as the tour will make its first-ever visit to Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, KY on Saturday April 18.  It will be the tour’s first of four scheduled visits to the 3/8 mile high-banked Western Kentucky speedplant, with the A-Main on Saturday April 18 being 40 laps in distance and paying $4,000 to win and $250 to start

This event will be historic for both the track and the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series.  It will be the first time Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway has hosted the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series, while for the series, it will mark the largest field to ever take the green flag in a series A-Main event, as 30 cars will start the event on Saturday April 18.

On Saturday April 18, the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will be in competition at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, KY and the event will feature the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and a 40 lap, $4,000 to win/$250 to start A-Main contest that will see 30 drivers take the green flag.  Other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway on Saturday April 18 will be the track’s Super Late Model, Pro Late Model, and Stock Car divisions.

Activities for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series event at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway on Saturday April 18 will see the pit area open at Noon, with the general admission area opening at Noon.  The series drivers meeting will be at 3:45 p.m., with practice set to begin at 4:00 p.m., followed immediately by time trials and green flag racing.  All times listed are Central Daylight Times. Ticket prices for the event at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway on Saturday April 18 in the general admission area will be $20 for adults, while a pit pass will be $35 for non-drivers and $50 for car/driver.  There will also be a $20 transponder rental fee, as the track does utilize transponders for timing and scoring.  The series entry fee is $50.
