tri-state-speedway      Haubstadt, IN – April 1, 2016.  Tri-State Speedway at Haubstadt, IN, will be the one place to be on Saturday night April 16th.  The season opening event that evening will feature an early spring match-up of the United States Auto Club sprint cars and the Midwest Sprint Car Series.  Included in this show will also be the UMP Open Wheel Modifieds.  The sprint car feature will pay $5,000 to win.

The action will continue on April 30th.  That Saturday night the Midwest Sprint Car Series will return for a $2,500 to win feature.

This first ever Midwest Madness event will be a triple header with the UMP Modifieds and MMSA Mini-Sprints participating.

The Modifieds will be on the race card at Haubstadt at all 12 events in 2016.  It should be a banner year for the division.  Special shows include $1,000 to win features on May 14th, at the Summit Modifieds event on June 26th, and again on July 16th.  Then at  the season finale on October 8th the American Modified Series will make its first ever visit to Tri-State Speedway and the 30 lap feature that night will pay $1,500 to win.

Tri-State Speedway continually offers a varied schedule of different types of race cars  in an effort  to cover the entire spectrum of dirt track racing.  This practice has proved popular with fans of all ages and preferences.  Once again in 2016 Tri-State Speedway was named in a poll of race fans by Speed Sport News as one of the Top Ten Tracks across the nation.  Tri-State placed 10th out of 286 speedways receiving votes.

The speedway has an envious line-up of sanctioned sprint car races which include touring groups supporting wings and the more traditional competitors running without the wings.  The fabulous World of Outlaws will make their annual appearance on Saturday night May 14th.  The MOWA Winged sprints will visit twice with their first appearance of the season at the Summer Showdown on June 11th.  MOWA will return on Sunday July 3rd for the Sprint Stampede.  MSCS will also be racing non-wing on those two cards.  USAC will be in action two additional times.  USAC Indiana Sprint Week concludes at Tri-State Speedway on July 16th.  The Haubstadt Hustler on September 17th matches USAC and MSCS but this time it is for 10 grand.

The Hoosier Tire Midwest Sprint Car Series will appear at Tri-State Speedway 9 times during the 2016 season.  The track has served as a port of call for the series for 11 of its 16 year history.  Other events to mention include the Memorial Weekend Classic and the Labor Day Weekend Challenge.  Both are Sunday night shows.  This year the date for the $5,000 to win Hoosier Sprint Nationals is on a different weekend.  That event will take place on Saturday August 13th.  Then the checkered flag will drop the last time at the Harvest Cup on October 8th.  MSCS will be racing for $3,000 to win that night.

The number of appearances for the MMSA Mini-Sprints has increased.

Besides the April 30th show there will be shows on May 29th, August 13th, and October 8th.  With their addition to the program all four shows are triple headers!

The track and ticket information phone number is 812-768-5995.  The speedway does offer reserved seating.  Ticket prices do vary according to the event on the schedule.  There are general admission tickets for adults, student tickets for those ages 13 – 18, and  children age 12 and under are free.

The only exception is the pricing for the World of Outlaws event.  Further details on each event are available at www.tristatespeedway.com.
