Bryant masters Moberly for USRA Iron Man Challenge win

RCR Logo - Randolph County RacewayMOBERLY, Mo. (April 23) — Andy Bryant of Fort Scott, Kan., raced to his first Iron Man Challenge victory of the season Saturday at the Randolph County Raceway in Moberly, Mo.

The defending Out-Pace USRA B-Mod National Champion disposed of early leader Yancy Shepard on lap 6, and then rode the top side of the high-banked 4/10-mile dirt oval to net a $600 payday and extend his points lead in the 2016 campaign.

Galen Hassler, who started 12th, came out on top of a lap-after-lap slide-fest with Shepard to nab the runner-up spot while Brandon Lennox finished fourth behind Shepard and Friday’s winner, Chad Clancy, rounded out the top five.

Eddie Schwope Jr., polesitter Cole Denner, Cody Agee, Jared Timmerman and Andrew Page rounded out the top 10.

The Iron Man Challenge featuring Out-Pace USRA B-Mods will join the USMTS at the Atchison County Speedway in Atchison, Kan., on Sunday to put the wraps on the tripleheader weekend.

Pit gates open at 3 p.m., grandstands opening at 4:30, hot laps at 6:45 and the first heat race at 7. Tickets are $20 for adults, youth ages 6-12 are $5 and children 5 and under are free. Pit passes are $35.
