Donnellson, IA (Friday, May 19, 2017) – Wet grounds, plus breezy and cool temperatures, forced the officials at the Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, Iowa to cancel Friday, May 19th’s weekly racing night. With the cancellations of Friday’s races, this will set up the first visit of 2017 at the track by the Shottenkirk.com Sprint Invaders on Friday, May 26th. The nights action is being presented by Midwest Performance and Power out of Keokuk, Iowa and 101.7 The Bull out of Burlington, Iowa.

The Shottenkirk.com Sprint Invaders had 33 cars sign in on their opening night back on Saturday, April 1st at 34 Raceway, and since then have tried two times to get their second event in at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa. But rains both times have postponed the event. A third attempt to get the race in will be Wednesday, May 24th, before making the trip to the Lee County Speedway on Friday, May 26th.

Some of the drivers expected are Jon Agan, Josh Schneiderman, Ryan Jamison, Tanner Gebhardt, Jamie Ball, Jarrod Schneiderman, John Greenwood, Nate VanHaaften, Cody Wehrle, Brayden Gaylord, Ben Wagoner, Harold Pohren, John Schulz, Justin Buchholz, Rob Weuve, Dave Getchell, and many more.
