Corey Heim wins Toyota 200 at World Wide Technology Raceway

Christian Eckes passed Derek Kraus with 5 laps to go but caution came out with 2 laps to go in the race. On the restart Corey Heim got a good push from his teammate and shot to front and never looked back.

Ben Rhodes looked strong nearing the end of the race leading 19 laps before experiencing battery issues allowing Derek Kraus to pass for the lead.

Kraus held the lead for 12 laps before Christian Eckes passed him with 5 laps and quickly pulled away before caution flag came out with 2 laps to the race end.

Heim is also the winner of the first Triple Truck Challenge race of the year. The next race is at Nashville Superspeedway on June 24. This is his second victory and third top-10 finish in 2022. This is Heim’s first victory and first top-10 finish in one race at World Wide Technology Raceway.

Christian Eckes (second) posted his first top-10 finish in five races at World Wide Technology Raceway. It is his seventh top-10 finish in 2022.

Chandler Smith (third) posted his second top-10 finish in four races at World Wide Technology Raceway.

Corey Heim (first) was the highest finishing rookie.

Ben Rhodes leads the point standings by 17 points over Chandler Smith.
