…..Special ‘Hats Off to the Military Night’ with Free Grandstand Admission for Active and Retired Armed Forces Services
Pevely, Missouri (April 29, 2012) An explosive Saturday night of racing excitement awaits short-track fans during the Memorial Day weekend at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55. The full racing program will be highlighted by the return of Winged 410 Sprint Cars sanctioned by MOWA to the St. Louis area on Saturday night May 26th. As part of the special activities for the special holiday weekend, Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 will be saluting America’s Military with free grandstand admission offered to all active and retired military personnel who present valid military identification at the grandstand gate.
The Winged 410 Sprint Car will compete under the rules and sanction of the Midwest Open Wheel Assocation (MOWA). In addition to the high-speed drama of the Sprint Cars, Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 will highlight increased purses for the UMP Super Late Models, UMP Open Wheel Modifieds and the UMP DirtCar Sportsman divisions. The NOWA Winged 410 Sprint Cars and the UMP Super Late Models will battle for $2,000.00 to win in their respective main events; while the UMP Open Wheel Modifieds will square off in a $1,000.00 to win feature as the Sportsman division offers a $400.00 to win purse.
Grandstand gates will open at 4:00 for the holiday fesitval of racing excitement with racing taking the green flag at 7:00 pm. Tickets will be available at the main ticket windows on the day of the event; Adult tickets are $18.00 with Kids 12 and Under admitted Free into the Grandstands. Prior to the Memorial Day weekend event, Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 will host special racing events each Saturday night leading up to May 26th. On May 5th it’s the St. Louis Auto Racing Fan Club Night; then ‘Mom’s Night’ on Saturday May 12th; and a Super Federated Saturday night of racing action on May 19th.
