Lucas Oil Late Model Series(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) eyed a pair of COMP Cams Super Dirt Series events in their home state of Arkansas over the April 19-20 weekend. Following a rain-out at the nearby Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas on Friday night, Saturday’s showdown at the I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas went off without a hitch.

Billy Moyer ran second in his heat race, which locked him into the outside of the third row in the $2,500 to win feature event. Despite getting caught up in a scrape early in the 35-lapper, which left him with a bent spindle, Billy soldiered on to a respectable sixth place finish. “Mr. Smooth” trailed only winner Timothy Culp, Kyle Beard, Ashley Newman, Robert Baker, and Wendell Wallace. Complete results can be viewed online at www.compdirt.com.

The #21 team has opted to take the upcoming April 26-27 weekend off from racing action. They will instead use that time to start prepping for their next races, which will take place on May 3-4 in the states of Illinois and Kentucky. The Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois and the Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky will both play host to $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series programs over the first weekend in May.
