Inside Line Promotions – SOMERTON, Ariz. (March 3, 2014) – Danny Lasoski’s trip west started off on the wrong note.

An electrical issue in the trailer plagued the team as it headed to Arizona for the Cocopah Cup Challenge at Cocopah Speedway last Friday and Saturday.

“We had a trip from hell,” Lasoski said. “We broke down three times. The first time it blew the fuses in the truck. The second time it annihilated the air lines. The third time the wiring cut the air lines in the brakes and locked us up. I want to thank Royal Jones and everybody from Mesilla Valley Transportation for getting us set up to get out here.”

Lasoski missed Friday’s Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour season opener at Cocopah Speedway and he didn’t arrive into the area until 5 a.m. on Saturday.

Bad luck continued to pounce once he hit the 3/8-mile track following a three-hour rain delay on Saturday.

“We had a motor issue in the heat race,” he said. “We were running on seven cylinders.”

Lasoski held on to a runner-up finish in his heat race, which earned him enough points to lock into the 30-lap feature.

“We had a good race car,” he said. “We knew that most of the guys were going to be committed to the top. We worked with our race car and got it tight enough where I could run the bottom.”

In the feature, Lasoski charged from 16th into the top five and made a last-lap pass to secure a fourth-place result to garner the Hard Charger Award.

He is slated to compete with the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series on Wednesday and Thursday at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas in Las Vegas and at Tucson International Raceway in Tucson, Ariz., on Saturday.

Fans can tune into a live Pay-Per-View broadcast from the action at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas on Thursday and Friday. For more information, visit http://www.DIRTVision.com.

SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT – Michael Ross Foundation

The Michael Ross Foundation is a tax-deductible charity that was established by Tony and Kathy Ross – founders of American Compressed Steel, Inc., in Sedalia, Mo. – and their daughter, Nicole. They established the foundation and its investment fund in memory of their son and brother, Michael, who passed away in 1990 at the age of 5-years-old from a very rare genetic disease known as Tay-Sachs disease. The proceeds of the foundation go to the Bay Cliff Health Camp in Big Bay, Mich. For more information, visit http://www.MichaelRossFoundation.com.

“The Michael Ross Foundation is near and dear to my heart,” Lasoski said. “Tony, Kathy and Nicole are just like my family. It’s a great foundation and I couldn’t be more proud to partner with everyone at the Michael Ross Foundation.”
