Inside Line Promotions – BISMARCK, N.D. (Jan. 13, 2015) – Andee Beierle has competed in the famed Chili Bowl Nationals multiple times, but this is the year she feels the most confident.

Beierle is driving for Daum Motorsports during the 29th edition of the premier midget event this Tuesday through Saturday at the River Spirit Expo Center in Tulsa, Okla. Her preliminary night is Thursday.

“I’m really excited,” she said. “I think the Chili Bowl was one of my first midget races at 16. It’s not like I have raced a midget very often, but I have more experience in a midget where I’ll be able to apply what I’ve learned.”

Unfortunately, Beierle was unable to attend Monday’s practice session because of school.

“I have a chemistry lab on Mondays and it’s only once a week,” she said. “You’re not allowed to miss any labs. It’s part of going to college and racing. I wish I could have hit practice, but I’ve had some time in the car and some time at the track during the Tulsa Shootout.”

Beierle drove a midget for Daum Motorsports on Thanksgiving during the 74th annual Turkey Night and she competed inside the River Spirit Expo Center in a micro sprint a week and a half ago during the Tulsa Shootout.

She returns to the same quarter-mile track along with a record of more than 325 drivers for the Chili Bowl.

“It’s really hard to set a definite goal,” she said. “I’ll be happy as long as the car is in one piece and I finish at a place where I think is good relative to the events that occur during the week. It should be fun.”
