Inside Line Promotions – LONGVIEW, Texas (Jan. 14, 2015) – Tyson Hall is back for another shot at the Chili Bowl crown.

Hall will compete on Friday during his preliminary night at the 29th annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals inside the River Spirit Expo Center in Tulsa, Okla., before the finale on Saturday.

“We’re aiming to qualify through on Friday night and hopefully make it in the big show,” he said. “We had some issues during practice night that are hopefully lined out.”

Hall said the team battled a fuel issue during the first session of hot laps on Monday.

“The fuel system messed up on us so we only got one round of practice,” he said. “When we got it on the track and got on it, it wouldn’t take any throttle. In the second round of hot laps it went better, but on the top end it was hitting. It sounded like it was hitting a rev limiter. We had Esslinger look at it and it should be ready.”

If the issues are fixed, Hall said he will be patiently aggressive on Friday when every position during each race is huge.

“You have to watch out and be patient, but you also have to be on the throttle,” he said. “It’s easy to be taken out by someone, but you can’t just ride around there. You have to be on the throttle and up on the wheel.”
