Slayton, Minnesota (01/15/15) – After seeing a mechanical failures end chances of victory in both of the first two rounds of the 9th Annual Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout, Jason Krohn gained sweet redemption on Wednesday night with a dominant win in the third round behind the wheel of his Krohn Farms #7k MB Customs Modified.

“We were so disappointed after the mechanical issues that knocked us out of Sunday’s race, but tonight definitely makes up for it,” Krohn said with a smile in victory lane. “This victory goes out to my family back home as well as some great friends, who are under the weather right now.”

Round #3 of the miniseries at USA Raceway (Tucson, Arizona) drew a field of twenty-seven competitors to the 3/8 mile oval. Much like the first two rounds of the week-long miniseries, Krohn started his night out on a strong note. He mounted a convincing charge from eighth to a runner-up finish in heat race action, earning him the sixth starting spot for the feature.

When the race went green, Krohn quickly moved into the top five and used the high side to keep up his momentum, snaring the lead from Joey Moriarty on lap seven. Krohn opened a comfortable margin over the rest of the field and went virtually unchallenged en route to a dominating victory. Ryan Gustin, Grant Junghans, Dave Mass and Alex Stanford rounded out the top five finishers.

The miniseries resumes on Friday night with the fourth round, while rounds five and six will follow on Saturday and Sunday. Each USRA Modified event will pay $1,000 to the winner.
