(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb Racing rolled into LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Illinois on April 3-4 for the annual running of the ‘Thaw Brawl.’ The American Late Model Series (ALMS) presided over a pair of big events at the 1/4-mile bullring in the Land of Lincoln. Dennis Erb, Jr. knocked down the third fastest lap in his group during the qualifying session on Friday night and later finished second in heat race action. After rolling off from the outside of the second row in the $5,000 to win headliner, Dennis was able to move up to third in the 50-lapper to trail only winner Bobby Pierce and runner-up Tim McCreadie at the checkers.

On Saturday evening, a $15,000 top prize was on the line in the ‘Thaw Brawl’ finale. Dennis laid down the fifth quickest time in his group during qualifying prior to grabbing the third transfer spot in his heat race. The Carpentersville, Illinois ace then passed three competitors during the 75-lap main event to conclude the weekend with an eighth place performance. Complete results from LaSalle Speedway can be viewed online at www.lasallespeedway.com.

With the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series program scheduled for Jackson (MS) Motor Speedway already falling by the wayside this upcoming weekend due to inclement weather, the #28 team has shifted their focus to a pair of shows in their home state of Illinois on April 10-11. On Friday night, a regular weekly race at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois is planned while the annual ‘Don Bohlander Tribute,’ which boasts a $5,000 payday for the Super Late Models, will wrap up the weekend on Saturday evening at Peoria Speedway in Peoria, Illinois.
