The Late Model portion of Monday’s rained-out Hell Tour event will be on Sunday August 30th. We will run our regular racing program along with the make-up late model events from where they left off. It will not be an official UMP Summer Nationals points race. We chose Aug 30th because it follows $5,000 to win MARS late model events on Friday at Tri City and Saturday at Pevely. This is our best chance to get most of our field back for the event.
“We have not yet decided what to do with our regular late model program that night as far as purse/payout – whether to leave it alone or to bump it up as well. Give us a little time on that. That purse will determine the ticket pricing.”
To watch the full night’s events you will need to purchase a ticket. Those with rainout tickets/armbands from Tuesday will be given a discount over those without them. “We don’t yet know our pricing because it will depend on our purse. But, we have had some people ask if they can just watch the make-up portion of the race with their Monday ticket. We will let you do that, but will clear the grandstands after it is over of those people who don’t have a ticket for the Sunday program.”
We will make-up the Sportmod feature this Sunday night by running double features. We are looking for a date to make-up the modified feature when as many cars as possible that made the field can be back.
