Racing Hero’s Past and Present Will Shine at Highland During 50th Year Celebration

HIghland SpeedwayHIGHLAND IL ( June 6, 2011) The Weekly Stars of the Highland Speedway will be sharing center stage the next two weekends at the Speedway as The Highland Speedway will be celebrating 50 Years of racing Presented by Excell Bottling the makers of Ski the Official Soda of the Highland Speedway.

Stars and Hero’s from days gone by will be Honored on June 11th and 18th. The event was just too big to have on one evening. Former drivers from across the racing community have been calling in wanting to be a part of the festivities. A complete list of attendees wasn’t available at press time. Promoter Scott Kuhn been busy trying to contact many who haven’t had access to the Internet.

Another big date to mark on your calendar is Wednesday June 22, The 2011 UMP Hell Tour also known as the Summer Nationals will be at the Speedway. This is the end of the first week of the tour and many big name drivers are expected to attend.
