Schaeffer Oil Southern Nationals Series Set to Embark on Start of Seventh Season!

Southern Nationals(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA)  In only three days time, fans and racers from the Southeast will start flocking to dirt tracks across the region, as the Schaeffer Oil Southern Nationals Series embarks on their seventh season!  This year’s version of the ten-race mini-series will kick off on Monday, July 11 at the Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia.  From July 11-23, ten different racetracks in the states of Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee will play host to series races.  A record six events will pay $5,300 to the winner, while the other four shows will pay $3,500 to win.

A talented field of drivers are eyeing the start of the Schaeffer Oil Southern Nationals Series on Monday and a long list of them have expressed interest to series promoter Ray Cook in following all or at least most of the rigorous schedule.  You can find many of the top Dirt Late Model chauffeurs in the area participating with the series this year including:  Jonathan Davenport, Chris Madden, Eric Jacobsen, Vic Hill, Brian Reese, Kenny Compton, Jr., Tony Knowles, Casey Roberts, Ivedent Lloyd, Jr., Tommy Kerr, Ross Bailes, Dennis Franklin, Austin Dillon, Ty Dillon, Daniel Baggerly, Donald Bradsher, Jeff Smith, Skip Arp, Tyler Ivey, and Ronnie Johnson.  Fans eager for live updates from all ten shows can visit the new Twitter (@SoNationals) page for the series at twitter.com/sonationals.
