Mother Nature Delays Spoon River Speedway Summer Nationals to July 14

DIRTcar Summer NationalsCANTON, Ill. – June 21, 2011 – Evening rain showers that soaked the Spoon River Speedway grounds forced DIRTcar Racing and track officials to postpone the scheduled DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour race to July 14.

The series returns to action tomorrow night, Wednesday June 22 at Highland (Ill.) Speedway. The rainout is the fourth Summer Nationals event out six to be either postponed or canceled by rain since the series began last Wednesday. The opener at Brownstown was delayed to July 12 and Saturday night’s race at Cedar Lake was canceled, and previous night’s race at LaSalle Speedway was moved to July 13.
