Skeff Distributing Presents the Fireman’s Firestone Topless Event

Macon Speedway(Macon, IL) Race fans will be treated to a special UMP Touchstone Energy event at the Macon Speedway on Saturday, July 9th, with the running of the Fireman’s Firestone Topless Event presented by Skeff Distributing. This event will feature the Touchstone Energy Sportsman racing with the tops of their cars removed for the top prize of $800.  Saturday night will be a Sportsman qualifier night for the Sportsman Nationals at the Illinois State Fair on August 21.  More dates for the Sportsman will be announced soon.  Macon Speedway with the help of Skeff Distributing and Firestone of Decatur would like to pay tribute to the hard working fireman on Saturday night.  All firemen with I.D. will be admitted for ½ price on Saturday night for the night’s festivities to honor them.

Also on the racing card for Saturday night will be the BillingsleyTowing Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pro and Amateur Hornets and the High School Hornets.

So far this summer with 13 races left in the 2011 racing season Nick Macklin leads the Touchstone Energy Sportsman points race followed by Scott Landers, Rick Roedel, Dave Eckel and Tim Bedinger to complete the top five.  Bobby Beiler finds himself sitting on top of the Street Stock division leading Justin Hill at this point in the season.  Adam Webb leads the Pro Hornet division and Jerad Matherly leads the Amateur Hornet division going into Saturday night’s feature events.

Adult tickets will cost $12 and children 12 & under are free. Pit gates open at 4pm; Grandstands open at 5pm with the racing action starting at 7pm.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

Return to the track on July 16 for the annual Touchstone Energy Christmas in July Toys for Kids drive.  Saturday, July 23 the Building Systems of IL Mini Sprint Nationals makes its way to Macon Speedway with the POWRi Midgets.
