Jason Perry, Michael Long,Terry Houston, Bobby Anders, Jake Powers and William Michel all took feature event wins atQuincy Racewayson Sunday June 3 during Coors and Coors Light Night at the Races.

The UMP Super Late Model feature event lined up looking like it could be a great race with Jerry Lierly and Dustin Griffin on the front row, Jason Perry and Ricky Frankel in the second row and Nick Bauman and Chuck Mitchell in row three. Griffin jumped into the lead at the drop of the green flag and was scored as the leader for the first two laps but Jason Perry had other ideas as he blasted into the lead on the third circuit and never looked back in taking his second feature win of the weekend as he led the rest of the thirty laps as they went caution free.Griffinclosed within striking distance in the closing laps as Perry encountered the tail of the field but had to settle for the second spot followed by Bauman in third, Ricky Frankel in fourth and Jim Moon in fifth. Perry, Lierly andGriffinwere the heat race winners with Lierly andGriffincrossing the finish line in the dash in a dead heat to the thousand of a second.

The Miller Lite Ump Modified main event saw Jake Griffin and Michael Long on the front row and when the green flag waved, Long jumped into the lead withGriffinin pursuit.David Wietholdergot pastGriffinon the sixth lap but had nothing for Long as he cruised away for the feature event win. Wietholder settled for second followed byJared Schlipmanin third,Griffinin fourth and Robbie Reed in fifth. Wietholder, Reed and Long were the heat race winners.

Darin Weisinger took the lead of the IMCA Stock Car main event as the green flag waved and held onto the lead for the first four circuits thenTerry Houstonslipped past for one lap. Weisinger battled back to lead the next lap but Houston took advantage of Weisinger slipping high in turn four to reclaim the top spot.Houstonthen held off Abe Huls to the checkered flag with Huls in second followed by Weisinger in third, Jerry Jansen in fourth and Ty Hill in fifth.Michael Larsenscored the heat race win.

Bobby Anders scored his first ever Summy Tire and Auto Center IMCA Northern SportMod feature event win in holding off Vance Wilson in second,Tanner Klingelein third, Tommy Elson in fourth and Austin Uppinghouse in fifth. Wilson and Tony Dunker were the heat race winners.

Jake Powers scored his fourth feature event win in the Quincy Hobby Stocks in seven tries. Powers held off Brandon Symmonds in second, Jeff DeLonjay in third,Nathan Andersin fourth and  Nathan Hayes in fifth. Symmonds and Powers were the heat race winners.

Seventeen IMCA Sport Compacts checked into race on Sunday night and they put on a wild and crazy main event as William Michel held off all challenges to take the flag to flag feature event win. Kim Abbott battled her way through the field to take second followed by Robert Thompson Jr. in third, Mike Hornung Jr. in fourth and Austen Bercerra in fifth. Michel, Laine VanZandt and Thompson were the heat race winners.

This week at Quincy Racewayswill be a busy one as the Monster Jam will be on hand for shows on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 7, 8 and 9. The next stock car race night will be on Sunday June 10 with the annual Pepsi Mid-Season Championship on tap. The Pit Gates open at 3:30, Grandstands at 5, Driver Registration Ends at 5:30, Driver’s Meeting at 5:30. Hot Laps at 5:45 and Racing at 6:30pm.
