By Monett Speedway PR (Monett, MO) — Monett Speedway will open the 2013 season at the Grand Ol’ Lady with a practice session on Friday night March 29, 2013. The first points race of the season will take place on Friday night April 5. The second race of the year will feature the MARS Late Models on Friday night April 12.
All weekly points races will be held on Friday nights in 2013. The Tony Roper Memorial race, held on Memorial Day weekend will be on Sunday May 26 and the Four State Dirt track championship held on Labor Day weekend will be on Sunday September 1. On Wednesday July 3 Monett Speedway will host the MARS Late Models for a 4th of July summer special.
Until the weather warms up Friday night’s racing will start at 7:30, with hot laps at 7:00. Gates will open at 5:30. Grandstand admission will be $12 for adults, $5 for kids 12-15, with 11 and under free.
The A and B Modifieds will be USRA sanctioned and sponsored by the Reliable Chevrolet Parts Department. The Late Models will be UMP sanctioned and sponsored by Race Brothers Farm and Home Supply.
