Springfield, MO (July 25, 2013) – Jesse Stovall of Billings, MO returned to victory lane for the second time this season at the Springfield Raceway for the Summer Perry Memorial. The race was worth $3,000 and was Stovall’s 14th career MARS win.

Current MARS point leader Tony Jackson Jr. of Lebanon, MO would lead the first 10 laps of the 40 lap race before Stovall would pass him in lapped traffic. Jackson would hold to finish second. Pole-sitter, Brandon McCormick of Lebanon, MO would finish in third.

Eric Turner of Hermitage, MO and Justin Wells of Aurora, MO rounded out the top five.

Next up for the MARS series will be a two day race at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, NE August 9-10, 2013.
