Fanfest and Press Conference!
Monday, September 23, 2013 St. Louis – This week, the events leading up to the AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals September 27th -29th are bigger and better than ever. The race is the 21st of 24 events in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series in 2013 and is the third race in the Countdown to the Championship.
AAA Funny Car Driver Robert Hight @ Paddy O’s

From 10:30am – 12:30am, Wednesday, September 25, AAA Funny Car driver Robert Hight will be available for autographs and fun at Paddy O’s to help baseball and motorsports fans celebrate the NHRA and Cardinal baseball! The Army Top Fuel Dragster and Terminal Velocity Jet Cars will also be on hand for fans to get up close and personal with screaming cars fueled by jet engines.

The fun on Thursday opens at 12:30pm with a press conference and interview opportunities with Robert Hight, driver of Auto Club Ford Mustang; Alexis DeJoria driver of Patron Tequila Toyota Camry; Erica Enders-Stevens, driver of the Husky Liners Chevy Camaro and Shawn Langdon, driver of Al-Anabi Racing Top Fuel dragster. The World’s Fastest Tailgate Party and Fanfest
Washington Avenue in downtown St. Louis between North Tucker and 14th Street
Thursday, September 26th, the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) and Gateway Motorsports Park will host the 2nd annual Gateway Motorsports Park NHRA Fanfest. This free, adrenaline-fueled, fan-centered event sponsored by Your Mid-America Chevy Dealers will be held on Washington Avenue in downtown St. Louis between North Tucker and 14th Street. During the course of the day fans can get up close and personal NHRA racecars, interactive displays, Robert Hight AAA Funny Car and some of the baddest hot rods from the St. Louis area. Music, ticket giveaways and games will fill the streets as NHRA fans from across the country pour into St. Louis for three days of racing action.
The World’s Fastest Tailgate Party and Fanfest will entertain the after-work crowd from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm. Downtown St. Louis will be electric with the excitement of Thursday Night Football…come party with the stars of NHRA before the big game. The event will host an exclusive opportunity to meet the stars of the NHRA with an autograph session taking place at 6:00 pm at 7:00 pm. Among the drivers scheduled to appear include Courtney and Brittany Force, Shawn Langdon, Hector Arana Sr., Michael Ray, Matt and Angie Smith, Alexis DeJoria, and Terry McMillen.
