kentucky-lakeCALVERT CITY, Ky. – Plans are for Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway to begin weekly racing on Saturdays in March and continue through October, a calendar which would provide as many as 35 weekends of competition.

Ticket prices for regular racing programs have been set at $15 for adult grandstand admission. Single-event luxury suite access is available at $50 apiece, with a minimum of two.

For competitors, crew pit passes will cost $30 and entry for driver and car will cost $45.

Season passes, granting admission to all regular programs are available. Season ticket holders will also receive discounts on purchases of tickets for special events.

Season ticket prices are as follows. Discounts are based on at a comparison of total price of single-event attendance at regular prices for 25 races. If more than 25 regular events are staged, the value of the season ticket would increase accordingly.

  • Grandstand admission: $300, which works out to $12 for each of 25 races, a $375 saving over walk-up admission.
  • Luxury suite admission, two individuals: $2,000, a $500 saving over the single-event price.
  • Crew pit pass: $625, a $125 discount over single-race entry into the pit area.
  • Driver and car pit pass: $875, a $250 discount over single-race entry.

Luxury suites are available for all regular season events at a cost of $5,000, which breaks down to $200 each for 25 nights of racing. The cost includes admission of a minimum of 15 spectators to the climate-controlled boxes with closed-circuit television, adjustable volume for speedway public address system, catering services and restrooms.

Prices for children and senior citizens will be announced later.

General manager Tommy House is reluctant to make specific scheduling plans because of the lack of cooperation from the weather as workers labor to get the 3/8-mile dirt oval in shape for racing after nearly five years of inactivity.

“We don’t want to announce things and then have to cancel or postpone them,” House said.

The only specific date on the calendar at this point is the NDRL Bluegrass Nationals, scheduled for March 27-28-29. Practice will be on Thursday, March 27, with two nights of racing. Friday night’s Super Late Model feature will pay $7,500 to the winner and Saturday night’s feature will pay $12,500.

Ticket prices for that event have not been announced.
