Federated Auto PartsConcord, N.C. (February 17, 2014) – Ken Schrader Racing, Inc. drivers Clay Campbell and Matt Tifft earned third and twelfth place finishes, respectively, at the season-opening races in Florida this past weekend.

Campbell drove the #52 Federated Auto Parts Chevrolet to a third-place finish in the Lucas Oil 200 presented by MAVTV American Real ARCA race at Daytona International Speedway on February 15.

Campbell, president of Martinsville Speedway, had his best-ever ARCA finish. He is making two starts this season for Ken Schrader Racing, Inc. A long-time racer and instrument rated multi-engine pilot, Campbell had no problem being patient as the 80-lap race played out on the famed 2.5-mile track.

“Our third place finish at Daytona in the Federated Auto Parts Chevrolet was a great way to start the season,” said Campbell. “All of the guys at Ken Schrader Racing did a heck of a job giving me a great race car and Kenny gave me a great opportunity to drive it. We’ve got a good team and an incredible leader in Donnie Richeson. That guy is a wealth of knowledge on these cars.

Can’t wait to go to Talladega!”

Across town on February 16, Matt Tifft qualified 15th in the Federated Parts entry at New Smyrna Speedway for the NASCAR K & N East Series race. Tifft finished in 12th a high school senior, will be driving in select K & N races this season. His next K & N race will at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway next month.

Following the race, Tifft said, “It was a tough day, but the team worked really hard for a decent finish. It was great getting to work with the KSR team and Federated Auto Parts for the first time at New Smyrna. It was a great experience and I know we will be a team to deal with this year.”

“What a terrific start to the season for our team,” JR Bishop, Marketing Director for Federated Auto Parts said. “The variety of series and tracks will make for an exciting year — we’re looking forward to seeing what the Federated Auto Parts cars and drivers can do this season. We’re glad to be back racing after a long, cold winter!”

Ken Schrader Racing, Inc. will run the entire 2014 ARCA Series Presented by Menards, select NASCAR K & N East Series races, and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Eldora Speedway. Ken Schrader will drive his Federated Auto Parts dirt modified at tracks throughout the United States this season. For updates visit us on the Ken Schrader Racing facebook page.
