Farmer CityManhattan, Kansas (04/01/14) – So far it’s been a year of firsts for Chase Junghans as he chases the World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Model Rookie of the Year title, and on Saturday night he competed at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) for the first time and came away with his best series finish of the year.

After seeing the scheduled World of Outlaws Late Model Series (WoO) show at Lone Star Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) washed away by Mother Nature on Friday evening, Junghans resumed action with the WoO tour on Saturday evening at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas).

Thirty-nine Super Late Models took part in the program at Tracey Clay’s 1/4 mile oval, and a third place finish in his heat race locked Chase into the tenth starting spot for the 50 lap, $10,000-to-win finale. In the feature, Junghans drove his #18 Shop Quik Racing/Capital/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model to as high as the seventh position before ultimately recording solid ninth place finish at the checkered flag.
Junghans is now thirteenth in the latest WoO standings and second in the rookie of the year battle behind leader, Frank Heckenast Jr. Complete results from the event as well as the latest standings are available at www.WoOLMS.com .

This weekend, April 3rd-5th, Chase is slated to compete with the WoO Super Late Model tour at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) in the annual Illini 100. The huge event posts a $20,000 top prize. For more information please visit www.WoOLMS.com .
