La Salle Speedway(SOLON SPRINGS, WISCONSIN) Brady Smith and his #2 team headed to the Hawkeye State of Iowa on May 9-10 for a pair of $3,000 to win showdowns, which were both co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil MLRA Series and Corn Belt Clash tour. On Friday night, the Davenport Speedway in Davenport, Iowa held a rare special event on the 1/4-mile oval. Brady ran third in his heat race and second in his B-Main, which lined him up starting from the inside of the tenth row in the 40-lap feature event. The Solon Springs, Wisconsin standout then blasted past thirteen competitors during the caution-free A-Main en route to a strong sixth place run behind only winner Chris Simpson, Terry Phillips, Brian Birkhofer, Ryan Gustin, and Chad Simpson.

The action quickly shifted to Jackson County Speedway in Maquoketa, Iowa on Saturday evening for another $3,000 to win co-sanctioned battle. Brady finished second in heat race action and later rolled off from the inside of the fourth row in the 40-lapper. The driver known as the “Prodigy” was then able to work his #2 Rocket Chassis past a couple of competitors during the race to claim a fifth place effort behind only victor Travis Dickes, Chad Simpson, Brandon Sheppard, and Chris Simpson. Full results from the doubleheader weekend can be viewed online at www.mlraracing.com.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will preside over a pair of events this upcoming weekend at the 1/4-mile bullring.
