DIRTcar Summer Nationals(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer and his #21 BMR team ventured to the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio from June 5-7 for the 20th edition of the ‘Dirt Late Model Dream.’ The three-day extravaganza kicked off on Thursday and Friday with a pair of Twin 25 programs at the 1/2-mile, high-banked speedplant. On Thursday, Billy won his heat race and later finished eighth in his $2,500 to win main event. At the “Big E” on Friday, Billy once again scored the win in heat race action prior to claiming a third place effort in his $5,000 to win feature event, as he trailed only winner Brian Birkhofer and runner-up Rick Eckert at the conclusion of the thrilling 25-lapper.

The tension then mounted on Saturday evening, as a whopping $100,000 top prize was on the line in the ‘Dirt Late Model Dream’ and Billy was gunning for his third race title. The Batesville, Arkansas star won his heat race for the third straight night, which landed him the outside pole position for the 100-lap crown jewel spectacular. After pacing the talented field for the first sixteen circuits in the ‘Dirt Late Model Dream,’ Billy wound up fifth in the final rundown of the extra-distance affair – trailing only victor Dale McDowell, John Blankenship, Scott Bloomquist, and Jimmy Owens. Complete results from the long weekend at Eldora Speedway can be found online at www.eldoraspeedway.com.

Following the strong performances at Eldora, Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) will now turn their focus to the start of the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals tour. While Billy will not follow the entire 33-race grind, he will enter his fair share of “Hell Tour” events – especially in the next week or two. He plans on traveling to both Kankakee County Speedway in Kankakee, Illinois and Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin from June 12-14 to kick-off the 2014 version of the Summer Nationals. A $5,000 payday will be up for grabs tonight at Kankakee, while the 16th Annual ‘Masters’ weekend at Cedar Lake will pay $5,000 to win on Friday and $10,000 to win on Saturday. Additional information on these races can be viewed by clicking on www.thehelltour.com.
