Mid America Lightning SprintsBy: Mark Billings MALS PR (Columbia MO)
The Mid-America Lightning Sprints Presented by Jayhawk Millwright is set to return to action this Saturday night for its first of two appearances at Central Missouri Speedway in Warrensburg MO on June 21st.

As a continuing effort to promote lightning sprints in these tough economic times we have reworked our payout structure to increase our payout from the bottom up, rather than the top down. The MALS staff realizes it cost the same for a well funded team to travel to the tracks as teams that struggle’s to make each show. There for the June 21st Mid-America Lightning Sprints presented by Jayhawk millwright race at CMS will pay an unprecedented $125 to start and $500 to win the feature. This will insure almost all local teams that if they make the feature they will have enough money in their pocket at the end of the night to cover that night’s expenses. As an added bonus thanks to our newest sponsor Eagle Motorsports Inc. we have created the Eagle Motorsports hard charger award that is paying a $100 gift certificate for anything in their extensive open wheel catalog. On Saturday night’s card with Mid-America Lightning sprints for the CMS Budweiser Race Night will be Modifieds, B-Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Pure Stocks. Gates Open at 5pm, Hot Laps at 7pm, racing at 7:30. General admission just $12 for adults, Kids $10/$5 pit passes $25.

The June 21st weekend is the beginning of a three week run for MALS. Our second race of this three week stretch is at Nevada Speedway in Nevada Missouri on June 28th. In keeping with our family oriented theme MALS will be hosting a free Pizza night for our drivers and crews. This is our way of saying thanks for those who are supporting MALS and a way of getting to know your fellow racers and their families. At Intermission the MALS cars will be lined up on the front stretch for a popular autograph session. This race is paying $500 to win!

Our third race in this stretch will be a double header combined show with the Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprint Association, Mid-America Lightning Sprints and MLS. This event will be one of the biggest in the country for lightning Sprints. It will be held at Dodge City Raceway Park in Dodge City KS. The Lightning Sprints will be supporting the STP World of Outlaw Sprint cars and our payout is $1000 to win each night.

If you have ever wanted to race winged open wheel sprint cars and thought the cost was too much, you should take a closer look at a Mid-America Lightning Sprint car. For more information on Mid-America Lightning Sprints go to www.midamericalightningsprints.com
