“This is a really exciting opportunity,” Griffin said with a smile. “The folks with Vatterott College have been big supporters of my racing program, especially in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and Ken Schrader is a hero of mine. To get to pilot one of his race cars is a true honor.”

Griffin will pilot the Federated Auto Parts #9 Vatterott College/Impressive Chassis Modified in the 11th Annual Summit Racing Equipment UMP Modified Mania Dirt Nationals at Tri City Speedway on September 24th-26th. Thursday’s event pays $3,000-to-win, while Friday posts a $4,000 top prize, and Saturday rewards the victor with a $5,000 check. The mega-event traditionally attracts a star-studded field of competitors to the Gundaker-owned, 3/8 mile oval. For more information on the event, please visit www.TriCitySpeedway.net .

In addition to sponsoring Griffin, Vatterott College will be the presenting sponsor of Friday night’s racing program.

Vatterott College is a vocational school specializing in Automotive, Trades, Medical, Business, Technology, and Legal professions. For more information on Vatterott College, please visit www.Vatterott.edu .

Last weekend Jake competed in the NASCAR Pro Late Model division at Lebanon I-44 Speedway (Lebanon, Missouri), where he qualified 2nd fastest before winning the fast dash. After starting 14th on the grid for the Salute to 75 and turning some of the fastest laps of the event he advanced to a 4th place finish despite only one caution flag in the 75 lap finale. Griffin crossed the finish line behind race winner, Kyle Donahue, Mike Slone, and JC Newell. Full results from the event are available at www.i44Speedway.net .
