USCS Sprint Cars and Modifieds Headline Malden Speedway “Missouri State Championship” Race on Saturday September 17th

Atlanta, GA – September 10, 2011 – The Atlanta, Georgia based United Speed Contest Sanction (USCS) makes its’ third and final appearance of the 2011 season at Malden Speedway in Malden, Missouri this Saturday, September 17th for Malden Speedway’s 3rd annual Missouri State Championship Race. The event will be headlined by a USCS open wheel triple-header featuring the United Sprint Car Series “Outlaw Thunder” Tour presented by Goodyear winged sprint cars, the K&N USCS Outlaw Modified Touring Series for open wheel modifieds and the new USCS 600 Sprint Car Series for winged mini-sprints.

The event is expected to bring both top winged sprint car and open wheel modified drivers from at least five states to the challenging 3/8 mile clay oval for the track’s final winged sprint car race of the season. In addition to the $2000 to win USCS winged sprint car event and the $1000 to win USCS Modified Touring Series and $500 to win USCS 600 winged mini sprint races, the speedway’s Crate Late Model, E-MOD, Hobby, Street Stock and Mini Stock divisions are on the action-packed racing card. Additionally bonuses are posted for 15 or more entries in each of those divisions.

Sprint car pre-entries includes several of the nation’s top drivers over the last decade including, 9-time USCS national Champion, Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee, 2008 USCS Mid South Thunder Champion and former National Sprint Car Hall of Fame Driver of the Year, Tim Crawley from Benton, Arkansas. Gray won the sprint car portion of the Bootheel 200 in March and Crawley captured the July 1, 2011 Firecracker 150 visit to Malden for the sprint cars.
