Springfield,Mo.-Despite heavy rains during the mid-week,the 1st Annual March Madness Racing Event at the Springfield Raceway featuring the MLRA and MARS Super Late Models is still set to happen with hot laps starting at 5PM.

Standout Late model driver including MARS Champion Brad Looney of Republic,MLRA Champion John Anderson Of Omaha,Neb. Current MARS point leader and last weeks $10,000 to win race in La. Jesse Stovall of Galena, opening MARS winner Tony Jackson Jr of Lebanon,2-time Corn Belt Clash Series Champion Chad Simpson of Mt Vernon,Iowa,Show-Me Racin Series Champion Justin Wells of Aurora,6-Time MARS Champion and the winningest MLRA driver Terry Phillips of Springfield in his Bloomquist Chassis,RC Whitwell,Alan Vaughn,David Turner,Justin Asplin,Bill Koons of Nebraska and many others in this $3,000 to win event.This is the opening point event for the MLRA while stop number 3 for the MARS Series.

Action will also feature the USRA Modifieds competing in a $500 to win race in which USRA National points will be awarded.Action also features the close competition of the B-Mods,Midwest Modz and the new young lions Legend Class featuring kids 12-16 years of age.

Grandstand gates open at 4PM while hot laps are scheduled to start at 5PM and racing at 6PM.

Grandstand ticket prices for Adults are only $20 while kids 6-12 are only $5 and under 6 Free.

THe pit gates open at 1:30 while local drivers meeting will be before hotlaps at 4:40.tHe local drivers draw closes at 5:15.Pit passes are only $35.
