The L A Raceway at LaMonte will begin its weekly series point races this Saturday, March 31.
Two weekly series Saturday night races are scheduled, March 31 and April 7, leading up to the annual Sprint Car Show on Saturday, April 14, for the ASCS Warrior 360 Winged Sprints.
The weekly series will feature Street Stocks, Hobby Stocks, B Modifieds, 305 Winged Sprints and the USRA Sanctioned A Modifieds. Sponsors for the series are Jim’s Tire Service, Gill Signs and Xtreme Motors all of Sedalia and Pitts Homes of Warsaw. The 2011 Series Champions, Terry Schultz, Mitchell Moore, Ron Livengood, Jay Prevete and Tyler Lewis are expected to return as well as all the local favorites competing for the 2012 championships.
New in 2012 is the USRA sanction for the A Modifieds. USRA (United State Racing Association) sanctioning offers the drivers a chance to run for local track and national point fund monies as well as providing competitive racing with consistent rules among hundreds of tracks in the United States.
L A Raceway is a 3/8 mile clay oval located only minutes from Sedalia and WAFB on Highway Y. Tickets for the weekly show are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and military, $6 for ages 11-15 while children 10 years and under are Free. Special event prices will vary. The USMTS Modified Show that was postponed this last weekend has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 19.
