(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) The Wendell Wallace Autosports team trekked to the Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Mississippi on October 5-6 for the 6th Annual ‘Gumbo Nationals.’ The Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) presided over the two-day affair, which boasted a $7,500 top prize. On Friday night, Wendell Wallace posted a sixth place finish in his stacked heat race, but later earned the second transfer spot through his B-Main on Saturday evening. Unfortunately, the Batesville, Arkansas star was an early retiree in the ‘Gumbo Nationals’ due to rear-end woes and wound up twenty-fourth in the final rundown. Complete results from Greenville can be viewed online at www.greenvillespeedway.net.

Wendell and his #6m team will travel back to Mississippi this upcoming weekend (October 12-13) for the 18th Annual Coors Light ‘Fall Classic.’ The unsanctioned, two-day show will kick off with qualifying and heat races on Friday night at the Whynot Motorsports Park. On Saturday evening, consolation events and the 100-lap feature event will headline the action at the 1/3-mile Meridian, Mississippi oval. A $15,000 winner’s check is on the line and Wendell is seeking his second race title, as he previously won back in 1997.
