DIRTcar(HARRISBURG, ILLINOIS) For the first time since the completion of the ‘DART Winternationals,’ the Riggs Motorsports team returned to Dirt Late Model competition over the March 8-9 weekend at the Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, Tennessee. The 9th Annual ‘Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic’ was held at the Volunteer State oval and the MARS DIRTcar Series once again presided over the two-day show. A strong field of 43 competitors piled into the Clarksville pit area to vie for the $3,000 top prize on Friday and the $5,000 winner’s check on Saturday.

Unfortunately, Jason Riggs was unable to transfer his #81jr into the main event on both Friday and Saturday. In the ‘Toilet Bowl Classic’ lid lifter, Jason finished sixth in his heat race prior to winding up third in his B-Main, which was one mere spot away from a transfer position into the 30-lap feature. In Saturday’s weekend finale, Jason was ninth in his heat race before scratching from his B-Main. You can view complete results from Clarksville by pointing your web browser to www.clarksvillespeedway.com.

Riggs Motorsports will look for better luck when they pull into the pit gate at both the Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville, Illinois and the Highland Speedway in Highland, Illinois over the March 15-16 weekend. On Friday night, “Belle Vegas” will play host to the $1,500 to win ‘Shamrock 40,’ while Highland will also pay $1,500 to the winner of the ‘Lucky 40’ on Saturday evening. If a driver can win both UMP DIRTcar Series races, they are in line for an extra $1,000 bonus. Additional information concerning both weekend events can be accessed online at www.belleclairspeedway.com and www.highlandspeedway.com.
