(SOLON SPRINGS, WISCONSIN) The Brady Smith Racing team spent their August 23-24 weekend competing in a pair of $2,000 to win Blaine Brothers Challenge Series races in the states of Wisconsin and Minnesota. On Friday night at the AMSOIL Speedway in Superior, Wisconsin, Brady Smith ran second in heat race action prior to moving up one spot in the A-Main – despite carburetor woes – to finish fifth behind only winner Chad Mahder, Darrell Nelson, Jeff Provinzino, and Steve Laursen. At the Ogilvie Raceway in Ogilvie, Minnesota on Saturday evening, Brady advanced up to fourth in his heat race and later claimed a strong runner-up performance in the feature event behind only victor Don Shaw. Full results from both WISSOTA specials can be accessed online at www.dirtondirt.com.

Brady and his #2 team will strike back out to the state of Minnesota over the busy Labor Day holiday weekend to enter a trio of high-profile WISSOTA signature events. Things will kick off tonight, August 29 at the Proctor Speedway in Proctor, Minnesota with the 41st Annual ‘Silver 1000.’ The 40-lapper tonight will have a base pay of $2,500 to the winner, but with lap money, a driver could walk away with a total of $3,300. Brady is the defending ‘Silver 1000’ champion, as he claimed a $2,920 payday last season.

Following a day off on Friday, the dirt will once again start flying for the Brady Smith Racing team on Saturday and Sunday at the Hibbing Raceway in Hibbing, Minnesota. The annual running of the ‘Labor Day Shootout’ at Hibbing will pay $3,500 to the winner each night. Brady, who was in the midst of his late-season hot streak last year, captured the win in the ‘Labor Day Shootout’ finale in 2012. Additional information on these shows at Proctor and Hibbing this weekend can be found by logging onto www.proctorspeedway.com and www.hibbingraceway.com.
