NDRL - National Dirt Racing League(YORK, PENNSYLVANIA) York, Pennsylvania star Rick Eckert was back in his familiar #24 Team Zero ride on October 11-12 in the 25th edition of the ‘Pittsburgher 100’ at the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in Imperial, Pennsylvania. The National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) presided over the weekend at PPMS, which kicked off with a $10,000 to win show on Friday. Rick timed in tenth fastest in Group A during qualifying and later grabbed the third and final transfer spot through his heat race.

Unfortunately, Rick suffered a broken rear-end during the pace lap and was forced to retire from the 50-lapper before it even started, which relegated him to a disappointing twenty-sixth place finish.

On Saturday at PPMS, a hefty $25,000 top prize was on the line in the NDRL season finale. Rick laid down the fourteenth quickest lap in Group A during time trials prior to finishing fourth in his loaded heat race.
After nabbing the second transfer position through his B-Main, “Scrub”
rolled off from the inside of the eleventh row in the ‘Pittsburgher 100.’
During the course of the 100-lap extra-distance affair, Rick was able to blitz past sixteen competitors en route to a sterling fifth place run to finish behind only winner Scott Bloomquist, Billy Moyer, Kent Robinson, and Eddie Carrier, Jr. Complete results from the storied 1/2-mile facility can be accessed online at www.thendrl.com.

Rick will be back behind the wheel of Paul Crowl’s #7 machine this upcoming weekend (October 18-19) at the Delaware International Speedway in Delmar, Delaware. The annual running of the ‘Delaware State Dirt Track Championship’ will be held at DIS and preliminary action will kick off on Friday. The weekend will culminate with a 50-lap headliner on Saturday and the winner stands to receive at least $5,000. Rick has visited Delaware International Speedway once already in 2013, as he finished a strong third in a $10,000 to win World of Outlaws Late Model Series showdown back on May 30.
